Passing the Light Forward

Continuing a mission of faith, hope, and love for children and families facing life’s most difficult challenges.

KFF was established in 2012 with a simple but meaningful mission: to bring faith, hope, and love to children with disabilities and serious illnesses. Through the extraordinary generosity of our supporters, KFF has been blessed to:

  • Help fund more than 100 wish experiences for children battling serious illnesses. For many children, these experiences became moments of joy and escape from hospital rooms, treatments, surgeries, fear, and uncertainty. They provided opportunities for children to laugh freely, create precious memories with their families, and simply feel like kids again. For parents, those moments often brought something equally meaningful: peace, relief, and the joy of seeing their child smile during incredibly difficult seasons of life.
  • Help fund surgeries for economically disadvantaged children born with orthopedic deformities—providing greater mobility, renewed confidence, and opportunities that otherwise may not have been possible.
  • Help send children with special needs to summer camps where they could experience friendship, belonging, independence, and joy.
  • Collect and distribute hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need throughout our local school district, helping students begin each school year with confidence and dignity.
  • Support local food banks serving families facing hardship, recognizing that many struggles extend far beyond medical challenges alone.

Most recently, Kelly had the privilege of sharing her story with children at Youth For Tomorrow, an incredible organization dedicated to supporting at- risk youth and families through counseling, education, mentoring, and compassionate care. Standing before those children was deeply emotional for Kelly because, in many ways, she saw pieces of her own journey reflected in their struggles, fears, and hopes for the future. More than anything, Kelly wanted them to know this: (i) their challenges do not define their worth; (ii) their difficult seasons are not the end of their story; and (iii) no matter how broken, discouraged, or forgotten they may sometimes feel, their lives still carry tremendous purpose and value.

We are deeply grateful for the countless blessings God has poured upon this foundation since its inception. None of this would have been possible without the love, generosity, encouragement, and unwavering support of our family, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and community. Your kindness has inspired us more than words can express, and your belief in our mission continues to help us inspire faith, hope, and love in children and families facing significant challenges.

As we look ahead, we are excited to continue this journey together—celebrating more lives touched, more hope restored, and more opportunities to serve others with compassion, gratitude, and purpose.
